Running a Program
Before undergoing training for the Shake, Rattle & Roll program, there are a few things you should think about:
- Venue – Is there a suitable indoor space to hold your program? Is the school gym or Church basement available? Will there be room for children to run freely?
- Equipment – Who are your community partners? Can you borrow equipment and resources from the Recreation Office, Daycare or Nursery School? Will you need to buy some equipment and how will we afford that?
- Child-minding – Will families be attending the program that will need childcare? Is there a space for babies to play at our venue? Who will care for those babies?
- Training – Do you have an interested facilitator willing to take the Shake, Rattle & Roll training?
